Book Review!

"Adventures of One Sock: The Lion" is a very cute picture book that kids will definitely relate to and love! Many times in life, things are not as they seem. On the morning of his first day of school, a little boy named Racer sees a "lion" behind Mr. Anderson's gate. He becomes very scared and is worried about walking past the house again on his way home from school. Fortunately, Dad is there to comfort him and to show him what the lion really is.

All the characters are loveable and the illustrations paint a great picture of the story. A wonderful first children's book by Mr. Ruiz. I look forward to more books about Racer and his adventures.

Confusion

so just posting this little blurp. People have been asking if my twitter handles @securityfiles and @yuckmouthdaddy are two different people or are they me. To answer that question, both handles are me. I use the @securityfiles for my security book and more adult theme. I use my @yuckmouthdaddy name to promote my children's book about my son's life and on this site. On this site I use my full name and my security page I use the nickname everyone gave me on set "Rj". So hopefully this answers everyone question. To give an update on the next "One Sock" book right now trying to set up with the artist to get some drawings done for the next book. Thank you everyone for your awesome support! Feel free to send me mail to either twitter handles:)

Why the Book Series?

Adventures of One Sock by Roy Ruiz
I’ve always been a story teller by nature, I love reading to my kids but mostly making up stories to entertain them as well. It seemed only natural that I would turn that into a children’s book for my son. He’s 6 and at the age of 3 we were told that he had Autism, it hasn’t always been a easy road but writing about him has made it easier for me as a father. When I decided to turn it into a published series I let Racer pick the artist he liked best, he was and has been part of the entire process since the start, its been a great bonding experience to say the least.
My first book is called Adventures of One Sock "The Lion" . I have also recently started a kickstarter account to help me fund the rest of the series.  I’m hoping to raise awareness for Autism and for my son through this series, through some of the light-hearted adventures that my son and family have found ourselves in.  The kickstarter account can be found at:

Another Great Review!

I've enjoyed reading the book and my granddaughter loves reading it also. It has a cute story to it, illustration was great, easy to read and understand. Brought a few for my grandkids. I would recommend this book for children 4-8 years up.
